Flaming Lips roadie and OKC artist Zac Cox hopped into the van for the last session of 2011.

We enjoy Zac’s construction paper concoctions and his chocolate milk mustache.

Make sure to come out to Live on the Plaza on Friday to catch more local art, and you’ll probably see the van filming another session.

Here’s the Vimeo version if you’re fancy.

Last month, The Society artist Tim Krause joined us for an interview about what it’s like being an artist in Oklahoma.

Krause works with a group of artists in a shared art space in The Plaza District.

He’s the second artist from The Society we’ve had in the van.

We are very much looking forward to more.

Here’s his interview on Vimeo if that’s your thing.

Friend of the show Tim Katz shot the Spy Van while running around the Plaza District during Live on the Plaza.

In case you didn’t know, the Spy Wagon is always hanging out at Live on the Plaza.

That’s right, Fowler VW of Nompton comes out in full force every second Friday in the Plaza District.

Last night, Spy FM head honcho Ferris O’Brien not only drove for a new VDub Session but also he participated in a dunk tank.

Three throws for a dollar ended up being a dangerous combination for Ferris.

Check out some more wet and wild photos of Ferris after the jump.

The line between music and art gets a little more blurry thanks to Moses White.

The Oklahoma City-based artist visited with us at Live on the Plaza last month, and he shared his artwork in the Spy Wagon.

Give the episode a look see to learn how White combines his two loves.

Here’s the link to the Vimeo version if you’re into that sort of thing.

Artist Mark White is like a cowbell.

He just goes well with music.

But seriously now, the Oklahoma City-based artist spent three months crafting artwork for May’s Live on the Plaza, and we’re very excited to see what he could draw for us inside of the Spy Van.

White specializes in psychedelia, so it’s no big surprise to see his artwork inside of Warpaint Clothing or gracing the cover of The Pretty Black Chains’ album “Awakening.”

We spoke to White about his passion for music and how he’s happy to team up with Chains guitarist Derek Knowlton.

Knowlton is responsible for scoring every artist VDub Session, which means you should check him out too.

Dig it.

On May 13, 2011, Fowler VW of Norman invited patrons of the monthly Live on the Plaza art walk to step inside the Spy Van for a photo.

Oklahoma City-based artist Kris Kanaly hopped into the Spy Van and crafted an original piece of art during Live on the Plaza last month.

Kanaly has a really interesting family history. His family owned an art gallery for almost 100 years.

And all of that happened in Oklahoma (it unfortunately closed last year).

We met up with Kanaly inside DNA Gallery and had Derek and Kurt of The Pretty Black Chains help out with some original music for an interview. Kanlay talked about his interest in street art and growing up with skater culture.

If you aren’t doing anything Friday then come out to the latest Live on the Plaza for a lot of free music and fun.

Update:

Kris Kanaly is responsible for painting the outside of Wayne Coyne’s new art gallery.
