We welcomed our first photographer to be interviewed for our monthly Artist Sessions.

On the second Friday of November, Okie native Ashford Ravenscroft Thomson hopped into the Spy Van and discussed his passion for photography.

If you haven’t experienced Live on the Plaza for yourself then make sure to check it out tomorrow.

Last month we once again grabbed a talented artist and performed an interview/art experiment in a moving vehicle.

We do this every month at Live on the Plaza.

Our Plaza District friends chose Sean Vali and we discussed collaboration, Voltron and the energy of the Oklahoma City art scene.

Come see us tonight in the Plaza for another night of free fun.

M. Paul Kirby says he’s no good at interviews.

We are glad to prove the Stillwater-based artist wrong.

When we met him last month he spoke eloquently about the power of art and his feathery bird creations.

Take a minute to learn up about the talent that makes Oklahoma unique.

Also, if you haven’t dropped by the Plaza District on the second Friday of every month then you’re not only missing a bevy of free and fun entertainment but also you’re missing the chance to see the Spy Van in action.

Come say hello at Live on the Plaza this week.

We won’t bite. Too hard.

Last month, we caught up with Okie via Germany artist Jeremy Watson.

It was one of his first showings in our state, so let’s give him a warm welcome and check out what he has to say about his creations.

Check out some stills from the shoot after the jump.

Last month, The Society artist Tim Krause joined us for an interview about what it’s like being an artist in Oklahoma.

Krause works with a group of artists in a shared art space in The Plaza District.

He’s the second artist from The Society we’ve had in the van.

We are very much looking forward to more.

Here’s his interview on Vimeo if that’s your thing.

Watch the interview that makes Charlie Sheen look like a sack of eyeless potatoes.

Here’s Peelander-Z’s interview on Vimeo if that’s your thing.

Dustin Oswald took part in our third artist VDub Session.

He’s the artistic mind behind Bombs Away Art and this popular T-shirt design you’ve probably seen around OKC.

Come visit Live on the Plaza this Friday to see the Spy Van at work on another episode.
