It’s not every day you make it to 100.
And we couldn’t be happier to spotlight Grooms for our centennial episode. To us, it just makes sense. The band has roots in Oklahoma but is making waves nationally. We are trying to do the same thing. We haven’t augmented our roots like when the Muggabears made the trip to Brooklyn and formed Grooms, but we strive to find new audiences throughout the country.
Although Grooms’ latest album “Infinity Caller” is a dreamy and fuzzy rock adventure, Travis Johnson treated us to an acoustic version of “Very Very Librarian.” It’s quite a departure from the guitar pedals and sonic sound from the album but we love it just the same. Thanks for making an exception for us, Travis. We think it turned out to be great.
