The VDub Sessions crew couldn’t find a better match for the Spy Wagon than Austin-based psych rockers The Black Angels.

One part Jefferson Airplane and one part Velvet Underground, this band belongs to find a time machine in order to return to the ’70s.

But until that happens, we are glad to know The Black Angels are playing some great music and deciding to make time for shows in Oklahoma.

We managed to grab three members before sound check at ACM@UCO and filmed a song from the Angels’ stellar third album “Phosphene Dream” before the band jetted off to Australia.

Hopefully, this is one of the many out-of-state band that will perform in the Spy Van.
